Santa is an old school kind of guy. But Mrs. Claus and my Elves keep telling me that if I have a website, I have to have a Privacy Policy. So, if the Elves say I have to have one, here it is:

1. This privacy policy applies only to any emails you send to Santa through SendEmail2Santa.com and any emails Santa may send back to you.

2. When you send Santa an email, Santa will also send an email to the email address you provide for your Mom or Dad to let them know that you emailed Santa and what you wrote in the email.

3. Santa collects this information from you:

   - Your City/Town
   - Your State
   - Your Zip Code
   - Your Birthday
   - Your Email Address
   - Your Mom or Dad's Email Address
   - Why You Should Be On Santa's Nice List
   - The Presents You Want Santa To Bring You This Year

4. Santa uses this information for the purposes of operating this website and allowing you to communicate with him via email. Santa will not sell or give the personal information he collected from you to any third parties (except your parent or guardian) without their written permission except under the following conditions:

   - If Santa is required to do so by law or court order.
   - If Santa retires and a transfer of ownership of the North Pole or its assets occurs.
   - If Santa goes bankrupt.
   - If Santa has to help the police or any other law enforcement agency protect you, other children, Mrs. Claus, the reindeer, or the Elves.

5. Your Mom or Dad has the option to agree to the collection and use of your personal information without consenting to the disclosure of that information to any third party.

6. You are not required to provide any more information to Santa than is requested on the web page from which you send Santa your email message.

7. Your Mom & Dad have the ability to review the information you submitted to Santa and to ask Santa to delete all information from the Elves database. They may do this by using the links provided in the notification email message Santa sends them after you send your message to Santa. They may also refuse to allow further disclosure of information to Santa and his Elves.

8. From time-to-time, Santa may update this Privacy Policy for a variety of reasons. The version you are viewing now was posted on this website on September 18, 2006.
